So, I was talking with some others in the Edgewood-Moriarty area and was wondering who else would be up for a get together!

There's several places in Moriarty as well as Edgewood so lets plan something! Ideas? Suggestions? Let's get something planned!

We can also start a donation team, which I wouldn't mind leading unless someone else would like to. See here: http://www.gifttool.com/athon/AthonDetails?ID=1891&AID=777

We can have a team sponsorship and get a bunch of donations. I'm game for it. Let me know. :D

We could potentially do the Starbucks in edgewood, I can make pretty much any day but monday or wednesday work.

That's definitely an idea. There are quite a few chairs and seats and some tables too in the Smith's Starbucks right?

Yes indeed! I was actually surprised when it opened at how much seating was in there.

Well I think that place would be perfect. Definitely a lot of activity there too so we could spread the word!

WE NEED MORE THOUGH! XD

Starbucks makes us non coffee drinkers a little queasy. (Plus all the shoppers coming into Smiths starting at you.)
How about East Mountain Grill? Kathy Shuit, who owns the joint is a wrtier of mystery novels and might be willing to accomodate.

that sounds good as well. there is also a place just next to the grill called The Doghouse that is like a little joint from the past. Also very nice. Also, the Moriarty Civic Center or the edgewood one if they have one.

Wherever it's set for has to have an electrical outlet or two. Older laptops only last about an hour or so - and it takes some of us that long just to drive to the location. I'd really be up for a middle of the day write in. And if you're really stuck for a place, how about a plot inspiring drive up South 14 to Tijeras. There's a place called Jo's Chameleon Cafe that normally closes at 2PM. It's got a ton of really comfortable seating. I have a feeling that she'd love to stay open a bit to sell some coffee and light sandwiches to a small group of easy-to-take care of wannabe writers for an hour or so. (AND it's got wi-fi, a big plus for those of us who do some quick research on the fly.)

Could this possibly be on a Friday if it's at night or the weekend, for us NaNoers still in school? Pretty much any place is fine with me (as long as mid-schoolers can go in there), but especially perhaps Coffee at Dawn, up north 14? Don't really know if there's outlets there, just suggesting it because it's a good landmark that most east-mountainers know.

Yup, 8th grade! I've also recruited a couple of my writer friends this year :-) Days with no homework (and they are few and far between), especially in November, are my best friends, school in general during November my worst enemy.

I'm one of them!!!!

You know what would be so cool! If we could get Vista Grande to let us use like the cumputer rooms on Fridays for some time, it may be hard to do. They're usually pretty packed with the after-school program for ONE SMALL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! Sorry, I hate how they think that they can't do anything because of that.
