For me, it's going to happen again. 4 times this month, actually.
Jewish Sabbath. Friday we prepare, Friday night it starts, Saturday night it ends. Saturday night and Sunday I'm going to be typing rather a lot, because it's 3:11 AM and I HAVE TO GO TO SLEEP.
-facepalm-
Wait, wait. 3:12 now.

Agreed. For reasons beyond my control, my inner editor won't shut up and let me write, and my brain has stopped producing any idea's that are worthy of writing about.

COMPLETELY beyond my control....

And now - another thing i can't control - i will be unable to write any more today because i have to paint my nails then go to work.

Are you to busy to write, or are you just not allowed to use electronics? If it's the latter, maybe you can just hand-write a few notes down to type up later? (Trying to help despite my ignorance of Jewish Sabbath, ha.)

D:
College midterms that came a little bit later than they should have and all in the same week + working because my parents don't love me enough to give me free money = probably the most pathetic word count I've seen since...last year

But I'm determined to destroy Nano, this weekend I'm trying to catch up.

My day job as a cripple schedules its own days. They've happened so far on the 3d with zero count and the 5th with zero count. I set high goals for myself and made it -- reached the first milestone, got my green bar.

I'm only running steady with my count though for making it to the end of the month and getting all of my goals -- three novels done by the end of the month. If I get more than two sick days in a week or I get one-chapter days, I will fall behind. So I am not behind -- today. But I have no cushion either if I want to go for the top goal, my high goal for the month, three novels done.

This one is nowhere near out of plot and will run between 80k and 100k, I want it done by the tenth. If I finish it anytime sooner then I really am ahead and can spare a day. I need the second one done by the 20th. Then I need to keep going and not drop the pace till I reach the end on the third -- when either of those later two could easily run 80k or longer.

If one of them runs fat I could be in trouble, if it demands to be 100k or 120k or 140k that could sabotage the one after it or push me to slamming twelve and fourteen hour days whenever I can function.

If I get ahead by doing that before it's needed, then I'll have the elbow room I gained on day one when I got over 20k. I need to do that again so I know I'm ahead, that would rock. If I'm not sick tomorrow, it's time for another slam-day to buy me a sick day before it happens. Because it will. It always does.

I have yet to make it through any Nanowrimo without losing at least one and usually several days to being too sick to write, the worst year I lost 25 days to being sick and only got to 25k by the end of the month because I was pushing without being up to doing it. So right now I'm just -- on track and need to get ahead, if I want to do this crazy thing and push myself this year, beat my best.
