I've been tossing the idea back and forth in my mind for a while - is there interested in trying to get a write-in at the Aquarium organized? The down side is, of course, the aquarium does charge admission and all unless you have an annual pass. But then you could do and see the aquarium after writing or hitting your goal. Or maybe we all even go into the big ocean explorer one, sit down, and write staring at the exhibit or something.

Anywho, thoughts? I'm just tossing this idea back and forth in my mind, and thought I'd see if we do plan something if there'd be interest in it or not. This, by no means, is saying that this will actually happen :-)

This has absolutely got my vote. I love the big tank room at the aquarium, and could happily sit in there for hours.

There is the whole admission thing, and feeding myself is getting tough at the moment. If that weren't the case, I would definitely be in, though my word count wouldn't increase by much as I'd be watching the fish and it wouldn't be research for my novel.

I wouldn't mind a write-in at the Aquarium. :3 Plus I could get more of my sketchbook homework done by drawing some of the fish and animals.

How much is the cost of admission? I like the idea of having a write-in at the aquarium, but I gotta make sure I can afford it.

It's like $30 or somewhere around that, I think. Worth it, but only occassionally, since it's not exactly cheap. Been three or four times in the last year or so for special occassions :)

Personally, I like the Atl Botanical Gardens better, because it's only $15 to get in, and I'm an earthy, earthy earth sign :)

I still think a Write-In at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis right in Atlanta would be awesome. XD IT's a bonus that there's a Starbucks, several restaurants and is directly connected to the Marta.

The Botanical Gardens and the Aquarium both sound fun! I don't know if it's still happening but the Garden used to have free or lower admission (Or something similar) one weekend if you had a BOA card.

I know some folks who work in the PR office at the Aquarium. I could talk to them about getting us passes. When are we thinking of doing this?

I think both the Aquarium and the Garden sound awesome. I'd love to go to either.

I think it sounds wonderful too. I didn't think it was 30$ to get into the Aqaurium though. I thought it was much less o_O

Isn't the Sunday after the Sunday after Thanksgiving in December? How about November 21 or 22? (Next weekend)

A write-in at the Georgia Aquarium does sound fun. It's the admission cost and parking that concerns me.

MARTA is within walking distance of the Aquarium. I have walked from the Aquarium to MARTA before. That would help with parking. Too bad we can't get friends and relatives to pitch in for a "writing fund."
