If you live downtown PDX, or close to, you should be going to Coffee Time for writerly inspiration.
Fateduel & I had yet to go there and went one unsuspecting Friday night. Finding it's little rabbit hole alcoves and abundant couches and computer plugs, plus the add-on of having wi-fi at your fingertips, we immediately decided it was the place to spend our Friday night oh-no-the-week-is-over-and-I'm-not-up-to-par nights.
Granted, Coffee Time no longer keeps all night hours as it once did during the winter (things got slow and weird and you can't really blame them), so we won't call it a "write-in". But, they are still open until 2 AM and that's good enough for us.
We will be nestled in the warm comfort of Coffee Time every Friday night from about 9 PM until close. Depending on how far behind we are, we might arrive as early as 6 or 7.
If you feel compelled and needy, you can look for us sipping our chais and looking harriedly at computer moniters, probably muttering something about word count.
