... you find your novel is punctuated with paragraphs of text with a strikethrough to define it as an error, and in the spirit of Nanowrimo, you think twice about backspacing even a single word you may have changed your mind about.
Yes, this is my novel, and I am guilt of crossing out single words and replacing them with something more appropriate as I am writing.
Sadly it only occurred to me to use the "track changes" feature in word, at around day 3 which would have accomplished the same thing. Oh well, I'll leave that sort of thing until the editing process in December. Or maybe January.

You have huge paragraphs marked with ****** at the start and end and a comment after it in [ ] saying this is a load of crap, what are you thinking, that is meant to happen later/that contradicts what u wrote up there/or just OMG this sucks
LOL
You have not got time to craft a nice shiny piece of prophecy, but instead have a great screed of stuff that you hope you can turn into a nice shiny thing later on
You keep reusing long long long descriptions of the Bad Thing that you don't have a name for, that happened a very very very very long time ago, over and over and over again
You then cry when you realise your december word count will halve when you remove these devices.

OMG! I agree 100% with you. I think so far, my prologue is the only peice of writing that will largely be left alone come December.
*cries in shame* I like the direction my novel is going. I just don't do the plot any justice with my writing.... :(

Oh god. It will be horrible.
I've given a character a logic-filter trait. so when ever i'm writing crap he pipes up and says "but this doesn't make any sense/ i dont understand/ you're going to have to explain that to me later" If he's not in the scene I have my MC think - Dev probably would have something to say about this.
Thank you Dev, Now in December i know that when ever you start talking a lot, I've screwed something up and will need to trcak something back.
