Well done all the 50k-ers, woo hoo :oD

I've just hit the 20k mark (which I will update just before midnight) which was my target for this year as I'm a Nano-noob. I'm hoping I get 50k by the end of the month and am totally loving this challenge (but I reckon I'll be totally knackered come November 30th!)

Ditto. I'm not done writing yet. Wish I could add my uni work to the count go; if I could it would shoot up. lmao

Happy to be able to add my name to the list now too!

My story has actually wrapped itself up quite nicely, so I'm not sure I'll be able to add much more to my word count though.

forget just making googly eyes at each other, they've kissed and are now holding hands, and people are noticing, not only that Jace is starting to blush everytime he is near Ciren, and Ciren i think finds it a little amusing.

Oh good lord. That was ridiculous. I've written over 21k in just over 24 hours which has pushed me over the edge to my first ever win. YAY!

Would love to join you but alas I must hit the hay for work tomorrow. But now I've reached 50k I'll have a bit more time to socialise so you can expect to see me on soon.

Good night West Midlands!

Unbelievable! Well done. That's more or less 1,000 words an hour. I've been managing 500 an hour and not for that many hours on the trot. Guess that's why you are over the 50K and I'm languishing at 30K.

Cheers,

David.

My key was learning I can write 1000 to up to 1500 words in half hour sprints, with the most common being about 1250. So four half hour sprints = 5000 words. So it was about 17 half hour sprints which is a lot of time, but I just kept writing!

My hands aren't aching any more, but I do have work this afternoon...

And my plot isn't even finished yet... I should probably do that.

Sounds like you have an excellent system that suits you well - keep going.

I'm doing about 500-1,000 words in a period, but I am being quite thoughtful at times. I'm ahead of schedule in terms of words and working through the plot, so I'm not worried.

David.

Just made the 50k mark tonight - now have to figure out where the next 75k is coming from - I'm thinking it will be a lot slower!
Best wishes to all

Well done to all those who have reached 50K.
I am chuffed to bits, to have managed to do it. It has been a great experience, and I am so glad I took part.

I've just hit the magical 50k - WOO HOO.

I am so chuffed, I'm also knackered but its all been worth it. I'm probably only 5 or 6k from finishing the novel too. It may not be an epic, but I'm damn proud. Can't wait to do it all again next year, lol.
