HOORAY INDEED!!!!! This is my first year being so actively involved and i must say Fly is absolutely amazing and wonderful for organizing the write-ins, the encouragements, the word wars: everything! I am so appreciative and glad I could meet and participate with her!

Fly does indeed rock. It's pretty crazy how she manages to coordinate dozens of write-ins, put together piles of cool swag and prizes, and hold everyone's feet to the fire on word count while still managing to crank out a novel of her own. Whassup wit dat??

My feelings exactly. I am in awe fly of your vast abilities of organization to run the show and write. Run and write at the same time. You are da bomb!!

She's really two or three identical people, and they all rock.

I hate that I missed the Parthenon. I TRIED to get there for about 40 minutes, but I could not make my way south through TSU's homecoming traffic, and gave up. But I'll bet it was really cool. Thanks for organizing everything.

Thanks for organizing so many great events and taking on the role of ringmaster! There's so much going on this year and the community feels so active -- it's definitely energizing as we write write write ahead!

*sends plot bunnies in cheerleader outfits to do a pom pom routine, ending with them trying to spell out 'fly' in formation, but alas, bunnies can't spell, and they end up with something that might be in "fly rocks!" in bunny language if we could only read it......*

Fly is indeed fabulous! The only event I went to last year was the TGIO party, and I'm only now realizing how much I missed out. What with going to the kick-off party and the write-ins, I've had way more fun this year than I did last year, and of course Fly makes it all happen. Somehow she coordinates all this stuff and still has a higher word count than me. Amazing! And so can't wait for the Evening of Scribbling Recklessly.

Thanks for everything you do for us, Fly! You rock.

I wrote you into my book... you're the cool Aunt Mandi from "Up North." You live on your own ranch with two horses (Blackberry and Thunder), but you prefer to ride your dirt bike. You make a living by restoring antiques (everything from cars to jewelry) and reselling them for huge gains. Here's a snippet:

"... when Kieran learned that he was going to be spending the summer up north with his Aunt Mandi. He protested. He fought. He argued. He almost even cried, but his mother would hear none of it and, eventually, the day came when his aunt pulled up the driveway in a very old, very red, perfectly restored 1948 F-1 Ford Truck. She honked and waved at the same time and Kieran couldn't help but smile. Maybe it wasn't going to be the 'worst summer ever' after all, but it was still going to suck."

OMG.. You know me better than you think you do. Because that character is totally me.
And I am so the cool Aunt Mandi. :)

LOL :) That's great! I'm glad you like it. She's turned out to be a very fun character, too. She's also excellent at haggling and last night she managed to talk Gert down to $50 from $200 for the old, Gypsy trunk that Kieran wanted for his room!

In my novel you're Mandi from the Finance department who keeps sending everyone photos of her cats. Janna's in the Marketing department, too, and Darren (Sydney ML) is the receptionist of the publishing company XD

So is putting Fly in the novels Nashville's answer to Cliff Brooks? Because I have my college student protagonist living in a suite of fourteen people, but only nine of them are mentioned regularly. Two days ago, I realized I'd only invented thirteen suite mates.

So I'm thinking that Mandi might live in that single two doors past the bathroom. Problem solved.

Mandi you are totally in my novel. You are Mandi for Mandeville, a city across the Lake from New Orleans. You are one of the student nurses studying right along with my lead gal who is falling love with none other that "the tall dark and handsome young doctor” You will be her main competition. Get your claws out and dig in!

my MFC's awesome Aunt Ginny has 3 very cool progressive friends...one of which is Mandi (I think she's the one who moved out west to spread the word on women's suffrage)
