Gail Carson Levine's pep talk really inspired me today. I'm now going to go write a long dream sequence. It will definitely help me boost my word count, and, you know, it will be interesting and maybe develop my character some more! (Her pep talk was also really funny to read, haha.)
Have the pep talks, or maybe just one in particular, inspired you?

I don't actually read those pep talks. I used to, but they just don't inspire me. Although, perhaps with my extremely low word count, I *should* be reading them this year anyway...

I was wondering when they's arrive. I don't seem to be getting the pep talks in my e-mail. Any way i can fix that?

You can go read them on the pep talks page. It's under Fun Stuff at the top. And you should probably check your settings to make sure you've actually clarified that you want to receive the pep talks.

You should check your e-mail settings as well as your nanowrimo settings - my first pep talk went into my spam folder!

Don't make me awaken the Drill Sgt. You don't want me to go there. Get to work.

I agree with the one about writing by hand. I've been doing a mixture of writing with pen and paper and typing and I'll have to say that my handwritten stuff seems better to me.

I love reading these! It is like I have a special message directly from Lynda Barry or Jasper Fforde.
