If you want to know the best coffee shop in a town, ask a writer!
I like traveling around our province, and I like to write in coffee shops, but I don't always know where to go when I'm in a new place. So where do you recommend? What spot in your town or region do you like to go for a cup of coffee and some place to write? Why?
I look forward to hearing about your favorite cafe!

I just realized I didn't put my own favorites...
Cuppa Joe in Vancouver: love the upstairs couches.
Zocalos in Courtenay: open early, comfy seats.
Tarbell's in Cumberland: historic building, great view of the main street, great art on the walls.

Revelstoke: I tend not to go to coffee shops, but there's a great local place called Conversations, where I would go for a quiet cup of tea (not really a coffee drinker) and write a little. I tend to recommend it to anyone who asks for a coffee shop and a place to access the Internet.

Maybe you'll find a way to hold me
Come back and sing a melody to me
Maybe we're just lost at sea
Maybe I'm holding on to driftwood
And I'll be alright if you could
Sing to me"

I'm a big fan of Pender's local wi-fi hotspot, the Harmony Cafe. It's fairly small, but there's good tunes either from the radio or the folks who're there, and they make a really nice pot of coffee.
