Heyo! I'm one of the "Elsewhere" MLs, hailing from the Platteville area. I'm new to MLing this year, but I've been in (and won) NaNo every year since 2005. Which... admittedly isn't the longest time, but still. My name is Epros.

I hope to get to know all of you way better, and if you ever need to ask a question, you know who to get ahold of!

I will be organizing quite a few parties/write-ins around UW-Platteville, so if any of you are in that area, please let me know if you're interested and the times each week that you'd be able to participate. Perhaps we'll have some online write-ins for the entire Elsewhere region, who knows? Personally, I'm up for anything. I'm also hoping that we can maybe have word wars/sprints with the other Wisconsin groups.

Does anyone else know that they're a good writer but as soon as they start putting the words on the page the doubt their abilities?

This is my problem. I know I have a good plot line. I have the whole story outlined out. I have about 3,500 words written but every time I open the Word document and start again I begin to doubt that my story is anyone good ... that the plot line is strong enough ... that words flow well enough.

I'm afraid that I'm a better blogger than I am a writer.

Am I alone in this????

Please, someone let me know I'm not alone so we can motivate each other and push each other along and finish the goal this year.

We're only on day nine and altogether, we've won NaNo just over twenty-two times! However, that unfortunately doesn't mean anything for us as individuals. How are YOU doing? What things are working out for you and what things aren't? Got something to gripe or brag about? Are your characters totally switching things on you? Mine have tried a few times. Also, I'm curious as to if you guys have had any write-ins of your own yet. If you have, how did they go? Just... anything.

I, for example, want to hit 15K by midnight. It's entirely possible... but I'll be damned if I actually get to it. :P

Yo, fernando and popeh, this is mostly for you, because I promised you a Beloit board two weeks ago. But to any and all other Beloit College students out there doing NaNoWriMo, well, say so! Step out of the poetry garden shadows, throw off your Salvation Army veil of obscurity, and pick up some of that Dr.Pepper-Super Chill soda stuff at Cub for me, will you?

More importantly, keep on keeping on and up-chucking those words. It can't be worse than last Saturday night, and if there are hash browns at commons, then you're all set--no hangover excuses accepted. Write through the pain, my fellow Beloiter, and I will pay for a beer and pizza party for all 50,000 word achievers when I get back to Beloit in January. Yes, you heard me correctly (I really hope I'm not going to regret this promise...) free PBR and Palermo's for those Beloit kids who reach the 50k mark!

Hey kids! Looks like we've finally got a write-in going for some of us out in the boonies here.
We're going to be holding a write-in Saturday, November 15th from 10am - 2pm at Bay Shore Books in Oconto if anyone can make it. Yes, that is this Saturday, and I am sorry if this is last minute for some of you. But I hope that at least some other area participants will be able to join us. I'll be there all day with the store owner, also another wrimo, and I'll make up a little sign so you can spot us easily. Hope to see you there!
