Brief Author Bio: I'm a recent graduate working at Coventry University. I've tried Nanowrimo 3 years running and never yet completed it due to uni coursework getting in the way. But now I've got evenings free and extra procrastination time, I'm determined to make it this year! The first year, I tried writing a fantasy novel. I discovered I really don't have a vivid enough imagination for that. The second year used the horror genre, but I'm too scared of my own shadow to get far with that. The third year I attempted romance, and it just made me sick. So I've still yet to see what my chosen genre (most probably the wrong one) will be this year. |

Third time’s the charm. I managed to pluck up what little courage I had to ask Heather for her phone number. To my surprise she barely pondered it over before fishing out her mobile from her bag and tapping her number into my own mobile. “There you go,” she replied, sending me a winning smile before handing my phone back to me. “I hope you’re going to take me for coffee somewhere a bit nicer than your mate’s kitchen.”
