Ava and her new husband were going to the caves in Chang Dow before they moved back to the States. Their teaching assignments were over and they were on the last of their money. They had always said they would go, but it was one of those things that never happened. They didn’t want to rent the scooter. It was raining. They had too many buckets the night before at Van Bar. Before they knew it, they were out of time with two nonrefundable train tickets to Bangkok the following day, and the first of many flights that night.
