Brief Author Bio:

Southern roots, New England Ivy League undergrad and master's and Bay Areas California doctorate. Spent a decade working in marketing/marketing analysis in telecommunications and cable TV before returning to higher education as a college professor in So Cal. Have done photography since high school and have kept a writer's journal since age 21. Did some fiction writing as I finished college then caught the poetry bug hard, found I had no voice and took a sabbatical until the last decade. I like magical realism and the region of its birth, Latin America, along with the Caribbean, where I visit quite frequently. I speak Spanish, Portuguese, and French and like to confuse listeners in those languages as well as English. An unrepentant runner, I move in and out of top 10 to top 20 U.S. rankings in Master's Track. I teach communication and marketing and work hard for worth political candidates. Doesn't everyone?
