Brief Author Bio: I'm a writer and an explorer . No, I don't get paid for either but I feel that I am defined more by how I spend my time than how I earn my money. |

Synopsis: An American Walkabout
For the past two months I have been wandering the country aimlessly, walking and hitching, searching for something, though I did not know what I was looking for. My adventure took me from Southwest Louisiana to Boston and dozens of places in between and somewhere along the way I learned the meaning of my existence.
Excerpt: An American Walkabout
A few people asked where I was going first, but I didn't know and told them as much. They asked which way I would turn when I left the yard and I could only shrug my shoulders. I hadn't made that decision yet and I wouldn't until my feet hit the pavement. I didn't want to start planning my trip. I wanted to go forth without a plan. And when they asked what the final destination would be, where I would end up, well, I had an answer for that question. The destination had always been the same. Home. As soon as I left the yard, my journey would be leading me home, through some massively indirect route. My first step, right past the driveway, would be the furthest step from home. Each one after that was leading me back, though I would have to first pass through numerous states to get there.
