Three members of a small-town daily newspaper staff collide head-on, and sometimes accidentally, with the truth.

Simon X. Cross never expected his small-town job at a backwater rag to matter, until suddenly, it did. Aric Khan thought struggling with ethnic tolerance would be the most difficult part of post post-9/11 America. Then his marriage began to founder. Rich Tompkins finds himself out in the cold after an inconvenient story alienates the political establishment of the town he covers.
