Brief Author Bio: Southerner living in NYC, striving for balance between a writing career and a job that pays the bills. I love cats, nature, shiny things, and too many TV shows. I've been looking for the Perfect Vampire Novel all my life and if all else fails, I'm going to have to write it myself. I read and write things that mostly belong in the SF/F section, but I will stray for anything that looks interesting enough. I'm a giant history nerd and all around geek girl. Fear my sparkly pink glasses and fierce attack kitten. |

Synopsis: "Bound for Canaan"/"The Bronze Orchid"
I am writing TWO novels for NaNoWriMo this year.
Novel #1 - "Bound For Canaan" - When 50,000 people are found dead of unknown causes on the remote religious colony of Canaan, the government of its nearest neighbor, Inachoye, is charged by the Consolidated Union of Worlds with the clean up and investigation. Overwhelmed and resentful, the Inachoyean government sends the six most expendable, least useful investigators they have, along with a dysfunctioning pseudo-human GRAFT, hoping for a quick and summary finding of mass suicide. But the team of misfits soon starts uncovering the dark secrets hidden on Canaan, bringing them closer to the terrible truth of what really happened.
Novel #2 - "The Bronze Orchid" - Asha is a failed nun who works at a bar keeping the patrons - mostly grifters, thieves, assassins and other criminals - in line and paying their tabs. One night, the bar's most mysterious patron, Daji the Fox, comes to Asha's boss, Zhang, with a proposal. He's about to retire and he's got plans for one last, humongous score. If Zhang will front him the money, he'll get ten times that much back. To safeguard the investment, Asha is sent to make sure Daji keeps his promises. Only Daji has plans for more than just a simple heist, and those plans could get him and Asha killed.
