It actually takes place in a country that has a terrible dictator. The government likes to get into wars and take other country's citizens and make them slaves. This story is about a girl who was born into slavery. Her grandparents had been taken from their country and made slaves many years ago. Its all about her getting her freedom, finding her relatives in the country they are from, making amends with her mom, and beating the government to win freedom for the slaves.
