Synopsis: The Magpie Winter

Vilja starts at the boarding school in the beginning of September. There are eleven students in all, and after a few days Vilja understands, that the students are quite different. One of them is a son of a court, the second is a girl who is really keen on searching for abandoned houses, the third is a boy who writes little notes and puts those everywhere.

And Leo... Leo never says a word. Ever. Or, well, maybe two or three times a week, but anyway. He is almost completely silent and stays away from the others. He is a really talented escapologist and illusionist. And, as Vilja learns later, a were-magpie.

As the story goes on, we read about playing tag in the graveyard, breaking into an abandoned house, hugging in the rain and drinking hot glogg at the belltower in the middle of the night.

When the magpie winter comes, you have to decide, whether to stay safe on the ground or to jump and take the risk of falling... and maybe, just maybe, learn to fly.
