Synopsis: The Saints
No Synopsis yet. Title is pretty solid, may tweak as the story comes together. Not sure if the Genre is quite right though.
Excerpt: The Saints
Ray is feeling jumpy as is, so he has no desire to watch Tommy work. Unfortunately for Ray's stomach, he can hear Tommy cutting on the girl and her subsequent screams. Also unfortunately for Ray, this distracts him from the portal opening up in the next room and the two figures that step out of it. One minute, he's got his eyes closed, trying to tune out the sounds of the girl's pain. The next minute, his head feels like it's going to explode as his body punches through the drywall. It takes him a few minutes to recover his senses. When he does, Ray realizes that he can't hear the girl anymore, but what he can hear is Tommy sobbing like a girl. Still feeling like his head is full of drywall, he tries to focus on what Tommy is saying. Dark … dark what? Dark hum … no … dark … hunter? Huntress. Dark Huntress. Well that's not right, Ray thinks to himself. The rumors are of a Night Huntress right? With a grunt Ray opens his eyes and realizes that Tommy is right, that chic in front of him is definitely dark. “We can do this the easy way, or the hard way.” She tells him in a creepy monotone voice. Ray blinks and says “What are my choices?” “You can walk through the portal under your own power. Or I can truss you up like your friend and take you through under my power.” Ray glanced at Tommy. No, that didn't look like Tommy was enjoying himself. “I'll … yeah … you know what. I'll surely go with the first option.” he said, trying to keep the fear out of his voice. She must not have liked what he said, or the way he said it, because he suddenly found himself with what looked like a black cloudy snake crawling up his legs. “Sure you will.” she muttered as she walked toward the shining portal, the cloud snake suddenly became tight on Ray's legs and started pulling him in the direction she had gone. Seconds later the back of his head met another hard surface and Ray could only think that he wanted his momma.
