Synopsis:

Enki has a problem, and it's not the accidental creation of sentient beings on his project's third planet--despite clear rules prohibiting such: He's in love with his science partner, and he's pretty sure Ra knows it. Worse yet, he thinks Ra might like him back. Young love flourishes as they work together to win the competition, but when Ra denies Enki and what they have, the whole experiment (along with the fate of the unwitting humans) is in jeopardy. When you've got a broken heart though, what else a teenage all-powerful being to do?

Excerpt:

Today…was The Day. The day they all started their Science Fair Projects.

It wasn’t easy being the son of Jehovah and Gaia. Gaia, with her live and let live ways, always so loving, nurturing and carefree. A little too flighty though, which left him to flounder on occasion without much needed guidance, but always so accepting of Enki and his faults--of which, there were many. None of which Jehovah ever seemed to let him forget. Steadfast, reliable, no-nonsense Jehovah, with all his rules and regulations. Rules about rules, and mandates on how to properly follow those rules. Regulations on how to enforce punishments when a rule was broken, and codes for appealing the judgment or lightening the sentence. Gah, it was enough to make Enki’s head swim sometimes.

It also didn’t help that Jehovah had the Best Science Project Ever. No, really. Jehovah didn’t just win first place for his era, or for their particular reality; His project won First Place For All Time.

Stupid Big Bang.

Oh well, whatever the topic Enki had plans. Plans to top That and redeem himself in the eyes of his father for all those past failures.

If only they’d go and announce what the subject was already, damn it!
