Synopsis: Type 2 Senioritis

When people hear "seniorits," they think of lazy high school seniors who have failed or will fail to complete their final year with reasonable grades. However, there is another "kind" of senioritis. This is the type 2 senioritis that only manifests in what is known collectively as "nerds." These nerds, after being infected with the infamous disease, become very, very lazy, but this is all relative. They slack off by taking only "a few" AP classes. They get horrible grades such as an A- and they don't study for tests anymore. Instead, they congregate in groups to share what little knowledge each knows to shamefully get a 90%. What other horrors await these students? What other manifestations will this type 2 senioritis take form in them? How will these nerds deal with the horrifying 4.6 GPA? It doesn't matter; they don't care anymore; that is, until one of them fails a class...with a B+.

Excerpt: Type 2 Senioritis

“Bosons make up the little guys with their up and down and multiple colors,” John was explaining. He was not doing a very good job.
“Quarks are the little guys with ups and downs and colors, right?” Chris was asking.
“Yes, quarks are very little guys but they make up many also small things.” Their grammar seemed to be fading due to their tests. If there was one side effect of cramming for a test, it was losing all the information about all other subjects. Days with multiple tests were even more entertaining than this.
“They have many colors and anti-colors so they will surely make bosons.”
“You just said bosons make quarks.”
“I meant quarks make the many bosons.”
“What are baryons?”
“Quarks is what they are but bigger.”
“Protons and neutrons, what about elections?”
“Electrons are those things with other stuff.”
“They definitely have a strong nuclear force.”
“What makes weak nuclear force so weak?”
“Conservation of the strangeness creates many things that are very strange.” The sad part was that everyone understood what each other was saying. Their grammar was terrible and what some things sounded as wrong were actually correct. Things that did not sound like anything at all were questions or perhaps an answer. They had their own little world with their own very strange jargon. It could be charming, but that was going over the top. Their study group continued; nobody knew what who was saying but they all received the information they needed.
“Leptons must be conserved.”
“Muons and pions, what be they?”
“They will react with the substances like the leptons and baryons; they are much heavier.”
“So many giga-electron volts they have, I think.”
“So many directions such as down but not left; what are the anti-colors for?”
“Anti-colors make white for the two quarks.”
“They will all definitely yes be shooting out neutrinos and anti-neutrinos with the taus.”
“What are the Z’s?”
“Z’s and W’s: they are so weak but not as weak like the graviton.”
“Everything tastes the same to me.”
“But there are so many flavors.”
“That is what the fermions are for.”
“Are there existing supersymmetry with the gluons?”
“That is at the bottom of our concern.”
“Then what is the top?”
“I said giga-electron volts.”
“Giga? Not mega?”
“You are right.”
“Actually it is up.”
“We should all kill if alive De Broglie.”
“We are all waves with the wonderful bars of h.” It was getting a bit out of hand now. One of them was red with anger; one was blue with a cold, and one was green for eating several different flavors of a strange candy.
