Excerpt:
Children's fairy-tales seem so... clichéd. Strong, brave, intelligent princes heroically rescue the helpless princesses. That's the vein of thought in most of them, right?
The mythical creatures also seem terribly clichéd. Need proof? Look at the vampire. Usually portrayed as evil, ruthless killers of the night who seduce their human prey to feed on their blood, right? That's how they've been for years. They've all been that way for years, all the vampires and werewolves and leprechauns and other various fairy-tale beings.
How would you feel if I showed these entities in a new light? What if some vampires didn't like blood? What if some leprechauns grew to be over six feet tall? Would you be insulted? Intrigued? If you fall amongst the latter, then I'd like to tell you a little story. Kick off your shoes and curl up in a cozy armchair while I spin a rather unorthodox yarn. It starts like many stories: Once upon a time...
