Excerpt: Magic in the Streets
"My guru is an eight week old kitten," Leonora said. "But he's good at it."
"I could've been this seven foot tall superhero with telepathy and a bunch of other superpowers even the rest of the giant telepathic race didn't have and become a hero that saved thousands of worlds, but I chose to be a wood elf pretty much like the rest of the wood elves. I'm happy about that."
"All my life I was raised to think God was perfect and never made mistakes. Mother was a Spiritualist and I studied ceremonial magic and I've taken that for granted all this time. Now you tell me that my path is to follow the God of Mistakes." Malcolm laughed. "Or maybe the god of serendipity."
