Brief Author Bio:

Aka: MadScientist from Kiwi Writers
I suppose I class myself as a mad evolutionary biologist with a little habit of murdering scientists (in literary fiction of course). This is my third year doing this and it gets harder to come up with something different. This will be less of a splatter novel and more of a thriller...I hope. However, if I get bored then I might just go right back to the splatter.

Synopsis: The Chosen Few

The Chosen Few

What the world has dreaded is about to occur. A disaster that could wipe out mankind has been detected. Worldwide governments are implementing emergency plans including the gathering of selected people and moving them to safety. Even in New Zealand the chosen few are taken to an undisclosed location. Two families are torn apart and in the turmoil of the outside world must fight to find those they love. But all is not as it seems for the supposedly lucky survivors. The question they ask as they see their new home, who chose the survivors, and why.

Excerpt: The Chosen Few

I still have that photograph of that mountain. I found it today as I was packing and yet again I wonder why I bothered to keep it. There mere sight of it makes me sick. I tried to throw it away but instead I looked at it some more, remembering what I thought I had put behind me. It was over, time to move on, time to start a new life. All that well meaning advice but still I keep that photo. He looks so young to me now but it is only when I look at the calendar that I realise that so much time has passed. To me it happened yesterday. I have not put it behind me, it is not forgotten. Dear God no, it is not forgotten.
