Excerpt: Atlantis Found

“I’ve been busy.”
“So busy you can't make a two minute phone call to an old friend? I’ve got some news of my own.”
“Oh?” he asks sitting across from her in the den.
“I got the grant to go to Antarctica. To dig, and to drill up the ice. We are leaving next month. Jack, we’ve got proof! Its not been verified, that’s why we’re going, but we have proof!”
“Are you serious? You really have proof?” says Jack leaning in closer to Sarah.
“Yes Jack, we have proof of life before the dinosaurs,” says Sarah matter of factly. His mother is standing in the doorway watching the two with a smile on her face.
“Shouldn’t you be leaving for the airport Jack? You don’t want to miss your flight back,” says his mother.
“Screw work! Proof!” Jack stands up, pacing around the room with his hand on his forehead. He picks up his phone and redials his travel agent.
“Hello, this is Mr. Frost, cancel my flights, I’ve changed my mind.” He clicks the phone shut and just stands smiling at Sarah.
