Synopsis: The Civilized Vampyre

What happens when you mix a headstrong heroine with a handsome Spanish vampire in denial, a sometime boyfriend who's also a genius, a secret laboratory, the government, and finding time to study?
Let's find out!

Excerpt: The Civilized Vampyre

I don't like being a vampire
I never asked to be a vampire.
The whole thing really pisses me off.
"I told you not to go out with him," Geordie McCracken, my best friend since first grade, sometime boyfriend, and permanent pain in the neck said.
Thank you, Captain Obvious.
"The only reason I went out with him is because you stood me up."
"Went out with who?" a smooth Spanish voice said from behind me.
"You!" I snapped.
Raoul got that cute but smug look that makes me want to kiss him and slap him at the same time.
"And why would you say a thing like that, cara?"
He really looked hurt.
I looked him in the eyes with the intention of telling him off...those deep...dark...chocolaty mocha eyes...
"Annalisa!" Geordie snapped.
"What?"
"Wake up!"
