Synopsis: The Apotheosis of Ophelia

The Queen's Court of Vamea is never an easy place to navigate, and for Lady Ophelia, raised away from it, it's even more difficult. When she returns late for her second year, Phia tries to settle in without help from many of those who'd taught her last year, only to stumble right into a huge mess. How was she to know that greeting a friend could be construed as flirting with the Queen's lover?

Outcast, Ophelia struggles to stay at Court without worsening her situation, supported primarily by Lord Ruben and his friends. When she's approached by members of the Balance Club, a group contemplating rebellion against the Queen, she has to make a few choices. Should she help them put a new king on the throne, or use her information to regain the place she'd lost? Can she trust the Balance Club, or will they throw her to the wolves like almost everyone else has?

With all that, not to mention love on the horizon, it's sure to be an interesting time at Court ...
