Synopsis: Hamlet: The Truth of Revenge

To sum up, William Shakespeare took a great deal of creative license when telling the story of Hamlet. In reality, Hamlet and Ophelia never went insane, and were plotting together to gain their revenge. This leads to a maelstrom of intrigue, secrets, and unfortunate accidents, all fitting in with The Bard's script.

No events are changed, and no scenes are cut, but the story is told through a new light, reinterpreting the classic tale with an interesting twist.

Excerpt: Hamlet: The Truth of Revenge

Many years ago, a man named William Shakespeare wrote a play. This play told a story of love and hate, of murder and revenge, and it was entitled Hamlet. Unfortunately, Mr. Shakespeare took a great deal of creative license, particularly with the ending. This was necessary to preserve the lives of my love and I, but still unfortunate. Now, however, I feel our story must be told.
I warn you, this is not a happy story. It has happiness in it, but there is much sorrow as well. At times it is dark and foreboding, and at times it is bloody and vengeful, but it is our story, and I want our daughter to know that her parents did nothing to be ashamed of. Perhaps we could have chosen a better path, but we made our choices out of love, for each other and for the old king. We cannot go back and rewrite our fates, but we can explain it, and we can share our decisions.
I do not regret my life, nor do I wish I had done things differently. Everything I have done was for a reason, and I beg you not to judge my actions with misunderstanding eyes. Life is not always as it seems, and, as is evident by reading Mr. Shakespeare’s play, much of the action happens between the words. So I give this tale to you, Dearest Reader, and I pray you understand.
