Synopsis: On The Slopes of the Murakono Mountains

There is a place far to the east where it is said gods once lived. IT is a place where great mountains are enshrouded in thin clouds from autumn to autumn, spring to spring, and where the water tickling down stony paths is said to contain the essence of the divine themselves. It is a place of magical beasts and magical beings, where the leaves falling from low branches tell love stories, if one can hear them. It is were footfalls of a fox and cooing of a bird sing to cure the greatest sickness, and air like no other air purifies to clear away the worst crimes.

The village people who live at the base of the mountain say that once, in a time not so different but very long ago, there was a little house on the side of the mountain, where a god came to rest her heavy heart and fell in love with a mortal. Where a god came down to the mountains, and where a man fell in love with a god.
