Synopsis: Book II
Cassandra has written one successful novel, much to her surprise, and now stares at the blank computer screen in front of her, as she waits for book two to materialize.
Excerpt: Book II
She stared at the new blank document on the screen. She wanted to scream, cry, get breakfast, go back to bed. She was dizzy and her eyes refused to stay focused on the white expanse in front of her.
“Another cup of coffee,” she thought, and left the warmth of the November fire in the stove beside her and padded to the kitchen. She poured her third cup of the day – or was it the fourth, or fifth? – and stared blankly at the rain falling outside the window.
“It was a dark and stormy morning,” she said in a low voice to herself. “Oh hell,” she said loudly, and started to type.
