Brief Author Bio: I'm 29 years old, born and raised in Oklahoma. I have a degree in religion and philosophy from Wake Forest University and spent a semester at Yale Divinity School. After I dropped out of Yale (WAAAY cooler to be an Ivy League dropout than an Ivy League graduate), I returned to Oklahoma where I've lived ever since. I have a master's degree in Professional Writing from the University of Oklahoma Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. I am currently employed as a PR hack with a raft of freelance gigs on the side, mostly for the Oklahoma Gazette. For NaNoWriMo 2009 I'm starting what will be my fourth novel. |

Synopsis: Look Me In The Eyes and Say That (tentative)
Jackson Dolan has never been lied to - not once in his entire life. For reasons unknown to him, when people speak to him they inadvertantly, unfailing tell the truth, and the harder they try to lie, the more truth they tell.
Jackson's ability gets him in trouble during a job interview, and without any other options, he returns home to the small town where he grew up. His best friends and family are overjoyed to see him, but things have changed. His friend Derrick has come back from Iraq with one less leg and a jaded outlook on life. His friend Brad is engaged to Jackson's high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Siobhan, and is running for mayor. On top of that his parents are trying to enjoy their empty nest but are constantly stymied by Jackson's increasingly senile grandmother Mona.
When Jackson takes a job at the local newspaper he discovers that Brad's candidacy for mayor is funded in large part by the city of Dallas, who want to bury their extra garbage just outside the city limits. With small town secrets erupting all around him, Jackson sets out to derail Brad's bid for mayor and, he hopes, win back the love of his life.
