Mursilis the Hittite
an excerpt
MURSILIS THE HITTITE
It is 1275BC and fifteen year old Mursilis is hurled into the cauldron of Kadesh, the greatest battle of the ancient world. After proving himself to be a courageous, daring and resourceful warrior Mursilis is picked by his king to carry out a perilous diplomatic and spying expedition to the Black Sea and the fabled lands of Colchis and the Amazons. Fighting his way through pirates, assassins, hostile kings, storms, demons and monsters he succeeds. Mursilis then forms a band of trusted followers and pursues an evil and deadly enemy through the ancient lands of Babylon, Mesopotamia and the Indus valley before finally cornering and destroying him in a furious battle high in the Persian mountains. The triumphant Mursilis returns home after forty years of adventure and exploration to recount the tale of his life to his great grand son.
