Synopsis: The Tale of The Traveling Folk
Samual's life takes a turn for the better when strolling through the fog one day, bumps into a gypsy girl, who befriends him. This tale tells of their adventures together - near death misses, escaping the law, magic, corruption, and mostly importantly an unlikely friendship that is said to have lasted a lifetime.
Excerpt: The Tale of The Traveling Folk
The Children sat in a semi-circle around the foot of a large chair. A few shuffling bottoms could be heard - children trying to get as comfortable as possible. The occasional cough echoed through the sterile room, but aside these few distractions the room was still, eyes wide and ears pricked. A kind faced nurse, with fluffy grey hair sat on the chair, smiling down at the children. Her soft eyes scanned the little faces below, each one of them unique, not only in structure, but also in illness. Some wore crisp bandages tied around their foreheads, others scars or red inflamed spots. She saw past all of this though. She saw ghost-like outlines dancing about their bodies, full of life and joy. It was these she begin to speak to.
"Today I shall tell you a special tale, one close to my heart."
