Synopsis: Iconoclast

The Cosmic War has endured for millenia. Great Powers and weapons have arisen on all sides, only to fall or be captured. The only remaining artifact of real potency is the legendary Heart of Darkness. It is said that if Hell can corrupt the Heart, the War will end--in Hell’s favor. Trained human exorcists and heroes have long sought the Heart, hampered by one considerable problem: not one reliable description of the Heart exists.

Hellions have found prime nesting grounds in the city of Newark, due to the area’s history of urban conflict. Marius Coratelli is the city’s top exorcist, with the carry permits and the retainer to prove it. Yet even he balks at the job offered him: chase after some rumored artifact that seems to exist only in the dreams of the desperate and thedamned.

But a Hellion nest survivor may just change his view.
