Synopsis: Gravity Well

It’s not easy to be told you have to find a reason to be kept on at a university. It’s not easy to see younger people taking on the work you have done all your life. Gladys was an old lecturer who had pioneered a lot of what was known about the world today. But, she was old. Old enough to retire. But, retirement is a hard word in the academic field. So, she searched for an experiment or theory that would prove that she still had it. That she still knew more than most other lecturers.
And, then it was handed to her on a silver platter. An experiment that had been shut down. No one knew why it had been shut down. She assumed it was because the person in charge was a coward. In light of her thoughts, she was going to prove to the world that she was still a force to be reckoned with. That she still had it. That she could still do it.
