Excerpt: The Other Side (temporary working title)
Taking a deep breath, Collin turned and walked into the tree.
Immediately, the strangest feeling came over him. A rich smell overwhelmed his senses, the smell of life and growing things and magic. He felt the very particles in his body and mind rearanging into something entirely different. Frightened, Collin tried to cry out, but he couldn’t find his voice. He wasn’t even sure he was himself anymore; he was part of the tree, part of the woods, part of everything.
