Brief Author Bio:

I'm a writer, job search consultant, wife, and mother. I teach job hunters to get better, faster results in their job search by improving their job search skills. I'm the co-founder of a great group of women that love to travel and share their travel experiences (http://girlfriendsentourage.ning.com/).

My fiction and non-fiction essays typically revolve around women on a journey of growth and self-discovery. This story is no different.

Synopsis: The Secret Lives of Librarians

Kinsey Jamison is the newest librarian at the ultra conservative, not-so-diverse community of Prospering Lakes, OH. With her crimson kinky twists, nose ring, visible tattoos, and penchant for thrift-store finds worn in new and interesting ways; she doesn't quite seem to fit in. Yet, despite her edgy appearance, Kinsey lives a painfully dull life. Especially when compared to the secret lives of her fellow librarians:

  • Nannette dresses like a nun with her long, woolen skirts and tight bun; but dances in next to nothing at a Gentleman's Club on weekends.,/li>
  • Lorelai dresses her family head-to-toe in the latest fashions. What everyone doesn't know is that most of them are five-finger discounts or impressive knock-offs which she buys from her connection, "Hustle Man."
  • Hannah has "the perfect marriage" to a brilliant attorney with a promising career at the firm of Wolters, Isaacs & Macklin. But there are dark family secrets behind the closed doors of their posh, lakefront home.

Can this group of remarkably different women let go of their preconceptions, face their inner demons, and help each other heal?
