Synopsis:

'Tilly' Mathilda Knight has just turned seventeen and is having a really bad summer.

Sent to live with her aunt and uncle so that her parents could take up posts on a scientific survey, Tilly thought that life in the country would be boring and lonely. That was before she made friends with a witch, a vampire, and a pack of werewolves; learnt that there was a necromancer in the area who didn't wait until you were dead before stealing your power; and that she - rather unexpectedly - had power of her own. (Although that was totally the vampire's fault.)

Before the summer ends Tilly has to avoid becoming the necromancer's victim; deal with her cousin - who has issues of his own with vampires and other supernatural creatures, all while making sure that her aunt and uncle don't notice anything odd going on.

She also has to gain control over her power before her teacher, the father of one of her newfound friends, decides that she can't handle it and blocks her off from it.

Forever.

Unfortunately, it's a process that usually sends people insane.
