Synopsis: What Iris Saw
While working in the town's video store, Cass has always been interested in the combinations of movies that people rent. But it isn't until the new girl with blue hair, Iris, that Cass is left really stumped. As she gets more and more wrapped up in figuring Iris out, she realizes that, just maybe, she's found more than friendship.
Excerpt: What Iris Saw
Except for her. No, she was something special. Something good. She was what took away the boring. What stole my mind from the stupid games of truth or dare the girls and I ended up playing during the slow times. This girl just had something special about her, although I was the only one that saw it at first. Of course I was the only one. Everyone else was busy trying to figure her out, and I was just busy admiring her. Trying to figure out what it was that made her so captivating. I like to think it was her hair. Or maybe it was her confidence. No, that’s a lie. It was that fact that she had actually ventured into Movie Stop on a Thursday afternoon, when everyone else in the world seemed to have something better to do. Everyone else but me.
