Favorite novels: Mists of Avalon, The Wee Free Men series, Cloudstreet, Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, Assassin series - too many to list in a satisfactory manner.

Favorite writers: Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Robin Hobb, Stephen Donaldson, Tim Winton, Marion Bradley - again far too many to list here.

Favorite music: Crowded House, Tripod, They Might Be Giants, Calexico. Whatever I fancy at the time.

Non-noveling interests: Comedy, Musical Comedy, jewellery making, art, theatre, music, BtVS, Dr Who, Torchwood, Scrubs - do you really want me to go on? I don't know why I even started listing any interests and favourites here. I'm forced to leave too many out. Perhaps I could attempt to list them all as part of my NanoNovel? I could hit 50k without having to worry about a plotline.

Brief Author Bio:

Galeana is a full time jewellery design student and happily married mother of three, who, in her mid 40s is currently enjoying(?) her second childhood/adolescence.
When not busy attempting to negotiate the madness of home life with a bunch of crazy creatives all afflicted with housework allergy, or fangirling over her favourite comedians, musicians and actors, she enjoys reading, wasting time on the internet, listening to music and dreaming of future artistic success. One day, maybe, if wildest dreams come true, she might even actually finish writing a novel worth publishing.

Synopsis:

A man with a most unusual mind meets a very ordinary woman and a strange adventure ensues.

Excerpt:

All was not quiet on this warm Hills evening. The night breeze shifted restless swathes of hanging leaves on the scrubby clusters of marri and tickled the blades of dry summer grass. A waxing half moon cast its shimmering light on the furtive movements of tiny creatures scuttling through the undergrowth. Overhead, a mother possum stirred on a branch as her clinging joey shifted his grip. All the usual night noises sang their regular parts in the nocturnal chorus, but something was not right. In the gentle summer night symphony, a discordant note was struck. Or rather, it wasn’t. There was a heavy absence in the mix. Not something missing that might normally be there, but a looming silent invisibility, lurking heavily in the canopy.
