Brief Author Bio:

During 2008 I published my first historical novel after a looong career writing nonfiction. It's called God's Thunderbolt: The Vigilantes of Montana. The story is this: Dan Stark, attorney and abolitionist from New York, comes to the Alder Gulch gold fields in 1863 to earn enough gold to save his family from dishonor and poverty, but finds himself in a place where ruffians rule and murder is tolerated. He joins a vigilante group made up of Union and Confederate sympathizers in order to bring law and order to the region. But can desperate measures succeed in establishing the law? As Vigilante prosecutor, Dan faces the horrible prospect of hanging both a friend and the husband of the woman he loves.
