The unfortunately-named Seville Branson just graduated from high school, without honors. But when he attends a funeral with his best friend Yvonne, a silent and mysterious gang of people painted blue swarm in from nowhere and kidnap her, and he is left with no idea of where she's gone, and nothing but a twig of dried mistletoe from England that transforms into a golden weapon whenever he squeezes it. Seville and Yvonne's boyfriend Thomas are going to have to rescue her, although they will travel through a thousand worlds, rewrite history a thousand times, and destroy countless civilizations to finally discover what it is that they each really want - and what the mistletoe weapon itself demands of its wielder in the end.
