Excerpt: To Be Determined at a Later Point in Time

"Cael. I know you can do this, you are strong. Mentally and physically capable. You are the most likely to be able to do this, just focus, concentrate on your target, look at it hard, memorize every inch of it. See the crack along the westnorth rim? Now close your eyes and imagine it getting bigger. Just picture the look and sound of it cracking more. You got it? Good, now open your eyes and break the plate. Break it," he repeated an inch from Cael's ear.
He watched the boys eyes flash open, head and saw the ever so slight crack in he plate grow an extra inch but do no more. For a split second there was absolute silence, then with an enraged growl, the plate shot from the stand into the cement wall behind it, exploding into thousands of shards. Because they were only feet away, the teacher cringed and stopped the pieces mid flight with a meare glance at them before they rained down around the two of them and their isolated section.
"Cael," the teacher said curtly, frowning at the boy with sympathy and slight frusteration showing on his face, "you need to control yourself. This is hard, I understand but I know you can do it if you just keep your head, and keep your thoughts straight. If you go throwing tantrums like that then your never going to get better or learn," he paused. "Now take a deep breath, place another plate on the stand...good," he cooed, then himself drew a centimeter long crack in the eastsouth rim, and looked at the boy. "Go again, image it it, take a deep breath, memorize it...."
