Brief Author Bio:

I had some limited writing success back in the late 80's then stopped to make money and raise a child, an age old story. But now that child is 21 (officially on his own, despite the fact that he he hasn't left the house) so I am back at it. I won the word count last year even though I have not finished the entire novel but I will! This year I had a readers poll on my Blog to find out which of my great ideas I should develop, the readers want to hear more about my character Samuel Blackburn, so I think I will try to write that story in one month, HA! I also did the Screenplay this past year and managed to finish a wonderful ghost story! A little editting in December and that will start going out. I'm totally enthusiastic about getting started, can't wait until Nov. 1st!! See you on the docks!

Synopsis: Through her eyes

Nick Cassilini has just gotten out of prison on a B&E charge. First time offense he did 2 and 8. He is out on Parole and meets a girl, smart, pretty, naive in that daddy protected kind of way. She befriends him even though he is too old to be romantically involved with her. But she is smitten and Nick begins to see himself through her eyes. He tries to change then and turn his life around, so that he can be the type of man that she deserves to have. Maybe he can do it. Or maybe he will fall back into the trap of his life with his friends, the ones that got him landed in the pen in the first place. A story of love, redemption, and healing.

Excerpt: Through her eyes

He took over the keyboard and spent the next few minutes filling out information about himself and setting up his home page. He was reading along through his newly set up homepage and he laughed uproariously.
“What?” Katie asked.
“Listen to my horoscope today,” Nick said still chuckling. “Gemini, May 21st thru June 21st. Don’t opt for convenience today. It’s easiest but not the best way. Too often convenience requires you pay too much, waste too much, or fail to challenge yourself. So if you need to go shopping, seek out the best bargains not the nearest store. If your going on a date, think of a creative outing that reflects part of who you are, not just the old dinner and a movie gambit. And if you need to have a difficult conversation with someone, don’t do it through e-mail.”
Sarah laughed long and hard throwing her head back.
“So what did we do today?” she said. “We went shopping and you spent too much on your laptop, so you would have someone to help you with problems instead of challenging yourself to fix them. Then we went on the dinner and a movie date.”
“Oh, Sarah, yeah that reminds me, There is something very difficult I’ve been meaning to talk with you about. Never mind, I’ll e-mail you later.”
She leaned against him and laughed again. He leaned back over to her and kissed her on the forehead.
