Brief Author Bio:

If I try to write a concise bio for a profile, I'll make 50,000 before November even begins. (Note that this wouldn't apply if I tried to write a novel. Sadly.)

Synopsis: The Semi-Fictional Filibuster

A description of the trials and tribulations of one author as she attempts to put 50,000 words to paper - me. Essentially documenting each day as it comes with no small quantity of padding.

Excerpt: The Semi-Fictional Filibuster

Jennifer is attempting to knit an exceptionally long scarf based on the costume of the Fourth Doctor of Doctor Who, Tom Baker, whose scarf has become an iconic costume piece and piece of costume for science fiction fans everywhere because it is long, stripy and a scarf. Jennifer's scarf will also be long, stripy and a scarf. Jennifer's mother knits far faster than Jennifer does, so Jennifer has overall probably knitted only slightly more than a third of the scarf – she has been kidnapping it to take to school and knit on the very long bus ride. Did I mention the bus ride? It is very long. Much like the scarf.

On Thursday, Jennifer completely failed to reach her word count and so decided to write a collection of poems about squirrels.

Squirrels.
