Synopsis: Vampyre: The Birth of a Legend ~~AND~~ Remembrance ~~AND~~ The Night of the Wrimos
Ghost
This is a realtively short idea (maybe 70k words when completed) about what happens to us after we die.
Legend: Temptation
Wanted to try something new and am delving in to romance here with the first of the Legend trilogy... am writing these three more or less simultaneously coz i know where each ends... are almost stories on their own. In Temptation, Siara has just entered Piana High, but she doesn't yet know that the world she lives in is completely magical, nor does she know it revolves around her, as does the heart of the school's dream-guy
Legend: Desire
Everyone wants to have fun, so when Triska comes to Piana High, that is exactly what she does, in the coldest possible way. With her powers barely controllable, but also the only ones strong enough to stop Triska, can Siara save the school, and her world? Is the power of love and friendship and also of Kristen enough to save Siara?
Legend: Ascension
The time has come for Siara to rise to the throne of Piana, but she isn't ready, nor does she want it. Deafeated and bitter, Triska takes advantage to steal the throne for herself, plunging Piana into an age of darkness. Can Kristen help Siara open her eyes to the truth?
CyberLife
The internet is great. A whole new world of possibilities... but what happens when that world takes control. Are any of us really free from the CyberLife? (again, short novel)
Silverhawk
The symbiotes are awakened and one girl finds herself with the power to fly and make dreams come true. The strongest girl in the world, trapped in her own mind by the Silverhawk. One day, they may co-exist.
Rian
Ok... this is a story that I've started while my mood is down, purely because otherwise Night of the Wrimos will turn rather dark and I don't want that. It's about a young man and his final moments of his life before being chosen by Death to be the playmate for Death's eldest son, Despair. While much of it is narrated by Rian from after his death, looking back on those last moments, it does start to have more of the present moment in it. And maybe, at the end, a flicker of light called Hope, Life's daughter, banishes the darkness of his afterlife. Just for reference, Death's sister is Life, Death's wife is Night, Life's husband is Day. Death has 4 sons (from eldest to youngest): Despair, Misery, Dark and Chaos. Life has 4 daughters (eldest to youngest): Hope, Joy, Light and Harmony. Death and Life are siblings to Night and Day and are the children of Beginning and End. (Entities have nice and obvious names)
The Night of the Wrimos
(if you want to be in this, go here --> http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/3113917)
This is a little comedy I thought I'd write and then make available for all... It follows the story of several crazy writers with several crazy ideas for one crazy month (and a little before and after) Be prepared for the rapid increase in pink fluffy plot bunnies bouncing around town and breeding... the muse and inner editor who kick out the angel/demons on shoulder and begin a fight to the death on your head... the characters that come to life and cause more mayhem in the real world than in their novels... and at the full moon, watch these "sane" people turn into the most haggard writers with black bags under their eyes and a hat with flasks and straws for their coffee/tea, and the pen and paper.... and watch as these monsters become the creative vampyres, leeching the creativity and plot ideas from the rest of the world... And then, on the final night, be prepared for the gateways to writing hell open... (by far my favourite idea ^^)
Vampyre: The Birth of a Legend (FINISHED)
This novel follows the life of the first modern vampyre. From birth in 1146, to the present day, Keithan has had much to learn, but it his son, Kyle, who really give footing to the modern day legends. Will Kyle ever come to love his father or is Keithan doomed to be running forever more from the race he inadvertently created?
Vampyre: The Mind of a Monster
This is Kyle's story. Is he really that much of a monster as Keithan began to see him? Or are his dark advisors and a mind-controlling, power-hungry were to blame?
Remebrance (FINISHED)
A young girl killed all too soon. She is not a ghost but a string of thoughts on the wind, holding on to try and understand why. Why does mankind live and enjoy living in the hell-bent world they have created? By delving into others and listening to the way they think, she slowly puts together a picture, but will she last long enough to finally understand, or will she drift apart?
Excerpt: Vampyre: The Birth of a Legend ~~AND~~ Remembrance ~~AND~~ The Night of the Wrimos
This is taken from the start of The Night of the Wrimos. Enjoy ^^
Prologue
Every year, there is a month of mayhem. Every year, sane writers lose their minds. Every year, they embark on a challenge. A challenge that absorbs their very souls. During this month, the world becomes starved of creative ideas. The pink, fluffy plot bunnies find themselves captured mercilessly. The inner editors and muses fight battles to the death. Stories come to life, intermingling and destroying the world. On the full moon, these devoted writers undergo a radical transformation and prowl the streets. And on the final day, the Dark Gods of Writing reveal themselves. These are the stories of dedicated Wrimos.
Chapter 1 - October
Intro
It was two weeks before the start of National Novel Writing Month. Across the world, hardened Wrimos were preparing for the life changing month. Many begna offering up their souls for the gift to write, and the Dark Gods of Writing were happy to accept. Others offered up live sacrifices of apples and the many things that caused them distractions. It was a win - win situation all around, except for the singers, drummers, dancers, questioners and other annoying and inconsiderate people. Word Wars began in a fit of writing to be faster and better and to beat the rest.
Also began the dark age of recruiting. Outside of America, Wrimos often found that few people knew about the challenge and so, forcing everyone they knew to take part was a sure way to get peace for the month. Maybe, one day, the media in other countries will take more notice of these people struggling for a challenge and their very survival...
