Excerpt: View from the Outside
I couldn’t accept the fact that I stood by so silently in life while all of these problems around me arose in the worst possible manner imaginable. What ever happened to the sheer innocence that we all possessed as children, blissfully ignorant of the destructive world around us? There once was that time, when we were all so little, when nothing ever mattered except for whether or not our moms and dads were there for us. There were never any real, serious problems that could affect us for the rest of our lives. Really, the only thing that could go wrong would be that our mothers and fathers would choose not to spend time with us, ignoring us completely, or they would influence us to be as destructive of our bodies and of the world as they once were, and still are. Otherwise, we were completely free of bias. Our generation, and the generations after us, could have chosen to become the greatest and the most fantastic the world had ever seen, yet we chose to grow up just like them, trapped by our bias and pre-mindset, to kill ourselves from the inside out (and therefore destroy others, both physically and mentally, as well as the environment and the world in which we lived). I couldn’t stand to see this happen, yet what could I do?
