Excerpt: Southern Mocha

I have never met a headstrong woman in my life like Nikki, she is sweet and understanding and then the next moment she can be so stubborn. But I love her and I wish she would see that. I even moved from my home town so that I could be closer to her. Thought that would make her happy but she the way she reacted wasn’t what I thought she would be. I thought she would be totally happy about it. Instead she told me to leave her alone and go back and saying that she didn’t need anyone in her life either. But I told her I was here for good and that she would eventually need me.
