Synopsis: Welcome to The Icks

The Institute for Gifted Children is not a famous school; indeed, there are few who know of it and even fewer who know whether it truly exists. It is said that anyone who graduates from this school is set for life; any goal or dream is within reach for the alumni. Byron Banks was introduced to this school in an unusual fashion; he and his sister were the only ones to survive a terrible subway accident. Now, not only is the government paying their medical bills, but they've given him a magic ring that allows him to control ice and given him a full scholarship to the Institute. Byron thought something was very strange about this turn of events and there was something about this deal they weren't telling him.

He was right. Far from being a prestigious academy, The Icks as it is called is straight out of a comic book... or a nightmare. The faculty is totalitarian, uncaring, and totally corrupt. The student body could be kindly described as eccentric and unkindly described as sociopathic. Danger lurks around every corner, especially once the sadistic Practical Games begin. On top of all this, the government has a special mission for him: Find a terrorist that had been planted inside the school. With no one to trust, students disappearing, and no escape possible, Byron must decide for himself what to believe... and how to do what is right when there are no correct answers.
