Synopsis:
A retelling of the Japanese folktale "The Crane Wife," now set in 1848 during the early part of the California Gold Rush. Genre-wise, it's somewhere between fantasy, historical fiction, magical realism and literary fiction. Not very cohesive yet, but getting there, I hope.
